Holiday Blitz Tutorial: Faux Evergreen Branch

Today's Holiday Blitz tutorial is brought to us by Michelle Nun - her tutorial is for a Faux Evergreen Branch, which can be used for decor or packaging as a sweet little accent. Here's one branch I made, and I'll share another project next week! The needles are made using a Sizzix Tapered Fringe die.

I got 3 of these framed mirrors (Ikea) at Goodwill for 99 cents each - this was a pastel lavender color, but I knew I wanted to alter it so the color didn't bother me. I gave the frame a coat of black gesso, which gave it a sort of chalkboardy finish. I used gold Delicata ink to stamp the Music background and sponge the edges. The verse stamp is one of my designs at Impression Obsession.

I made the double bow using a larger homemade version of the Bow-Easy, and filled in the decoration with a Christmas pick I bought at Michaels. Check out the gallery for this project for lots of ideas for using these branches, including a wreath, a card, a gift package, and more! Michelle is a master gardener, and has a beautiful way of making paper come to life.

Join us all this week for beautiful holiday tutorials during our Holiday Blitz event!

Thanks for stopping by!
