Impression Obsession DT Thursday - Nuts!

It's my turn to host DT Thursday for Impression Obsession-- today I have a fun fall card to share, a tip for cutting letter dies, and a die to give away!

When I use my Gelli Plate, I keep a piece of cardstock on my work surface to roll off excess acrylic paint from my brayer. Those layered rolls turn into some of my favorite backgrounds. This is one of them! I needed a warm color palette for a challenge card this month, so this was the perfect base. The Bare Branch die is inlaid into the panel.

I cut the squirrels from watercolor paper, and watercolored them using Peerless Watercolors - I love these for more detailed painting. Actually, I just love them, and I don't want to use them up too quickly!

I used  stencil alphabet dies to create a customized sentiment for my card. To line up the dies, I used the sticky edge of a Post-It note, and stuck the dies down right next to each other and in line with the edge.

I left a little space on either side so I could keep the sticky note in place when I ran the panel through my die cutting machine. The stencil dies are designed to create open letters, for a stencil or for a see-through sentiment like this!

Please leave me a comment before Sunday 10/26 at midnight Eastern time, and I'll send a lucky winner THIS die in the mail! I have an extra one to share.

Thank you so much for visiting me today!

Thanks for stopping by!

You are such an inspiration! I also now have Peerless Water Colors and will be playing with those as well! Love those little squirrels and will put them on my wish list.
