Mix-Ability Challenge: Fall colors
This week's Mix-Ability challenge is to create a fall-themed mixed media project. I had some fun with some of my new stamps from Impression Obsession, and a background I made using this week's Alcohol Marker Marbling tutorial!
Things tend to evolve as they sit on my desk, and this card is made from precut pieces and half-finished projects! I used 3 Touch Twin Markers to make my background:
I stamped over the background, sponged, and mayyy have cleaned my brayer on it once as well. Nothing's safe. :)
The main image was watercolored and then cut using a technique I love to use to add dimension without adding layers. I'll work out a tutorial for that technique sometime soon!
Stamps I used: Leaf Collage, Grateful For You, CAC Oak, CAC Beauty Text
Come play!
STUNNING..so gorgeous..especially in detail!
ReplyDeletewould love to see a tutorial about this!
Dina this is Lovely! There is so much warmth in the colors that I can feel the sun bouncing off of the leaves.. Fall is my favorite time of year and this card is a nice way to begin.. Welcome Fall!
ReplyDeleteIs it wrong that I secretly giggle when reading your posts? Nothing's safe! LOL love this card and I'm intrigued by a budding new technique!
ReplyDeleteWow just absolutely love everything about this card! I love Fall, all the colors and how the cooler weather seems to bring family together! Thanks so much for sharing your gifts with all of us!
ReplyDeleteI can see what you did to add dimension, Dina. Only because I have a die cut that does the same thing. This card is a beauty! You create awesome cards. :o)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, yet again! The background is 'Autumn misty' and the leaf colours are spot on. I love the way you've partially cut round the leaves to bring them forward. Genius!!
ReplyDeleteYou are truly gifted Dini and I enjoy seeing your creations which inspire me. Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous!!!
