One more card for the weekend...
This card was a quick one for this week's Mix-Ability challenge - the samples I had were pretty grungy and I wanted to have something a little more clean and simple. Not sure that I accomplished 'clean', but at least the layout is uncomplicated!
I started by stamping the Darling Dahlia image off the edge of my panel, and masking it with a piece of light cardstock. I took it outside, and sprayed it quickly with my new can of yellow spray paint (yay, new paint!), then left the mask on and did more stamping with Versafine and Colorbox Fluid Chalk inks. I added a little extra texture by sponging through some drywall tape, too.
Stamps I used: Darling Dahlia, Friends Forever, Sm. Dotted Washi Tape, Striped Washi Tape, Paris Registre, French Postal, CAC Beauty Text, Lg. Solid Butterfly
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! I'm working on getting our homeschool curriculum organized for this coming school year, which is coming far too quickly!
AWESOME!!!!

ReplyDeleteOh WOW!! what a great combination of colors! I love the sponging with the dry wall tape Dina, it looks really amazing. I'm going to the garage to look for some, thank you for sharing this beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collage feel to the bg for the dahlia. I'm trying to gear up for our school year too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous card! Love that big dahlia!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The background techniques are fabulous. What kind of spray paint do you use on your cardstock?
ReplyDeleteI love the image of the guy with a guitar. We just past the 1st anniversary of a friend's passing. His music was fabulous. I think I may have to have that stamp! We love him and miss him very much. Thanks for the memories. Jessica
You are just fabulous! I am always amazed by the different mediums and how you execute them. This one is no exception! Great work on designing the stamps and using them
