Happy Thoughts

This was my final Hope You Can Cling To card, and I loved it so much that I wanted to share it here too. This stamp set (Blow) from The Cat's Pajamas was one of my wins from last year's card drive, and with all our traveling, I think this was the first time it saw ink!

I started by painting my background with acrylic paints, then stamping Cover-a-Card Large Dots (Impression Obsession) over the panel. Next I painted the darker grass in wider, less defined strokes. I added the lighter grass with a liner brush, and added the pieced bunny image, then painted in the dirt, and more grass to complete the scene. The dandelion fluff is white acrylic paint, dotted with a small stylus.

(My kids commented that this is either a very large mushroom, or a very tiny bunny....)

This was a fun card to make... as Bob Ross used to say, "Every day's a good day when you paint!"
Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Love it, the way you panted the grass makes it look three dimensional, I had to really look at it because I thought it was a picture.
