Mama's got a new toy!

I would like to say...that I have a new toy and I love it! I've never used a stamp positioner - figured I've eyeballed it all this time and done alright...but...then I saw Susan's tutorial on using a Stamp-a-ma-jig.

Hmmm.

So I decided to give it a try. I pulled it out the other day to use on this card. Guar-an-teeeeee I couldn't have lined up the stem between the petals and the saying under "friends" in one try - surely there would have been a lot of attempts "filed". But [cue singing angels] - it's perfect! Lovin' the Stamp-a-ma-jig.

BTW, maybe it's obvious to other people, but when I saw it I thought - how do I use it left-handed? But duh - the right angle is on both sides and you can turn it any way you prefer. Susan uses hers to the bottom left, I prefer to use mine to the upper right.

Card details - are you impressed with all the white I left white? :) This is a 4"x8" card. I stamped the flower stem first (Daisy Trio set from smARTworks), then lined up the daisy with the SAMJ. The daisy is inked with Versamagic chalk inks. It actually does have a yellow center, but I had to cover it up because of a failed attempt (opportunity for embellishment) with some brad ladybugs. Sigh... OK, I positioned the "friends" word (Fancy Friends set) with the SAMJ, and then added the second saying underneath using the SAMJ again. This saying is from the "Special Happy" set and is meant to stand on its own, but I have these 2 sets stored together and they just seemed to work this way. Tell me you'd never know they weren't meant to go together?! I mean look at how well they fit. :)

No other stamping on this one - just a scored border 1/8" from the edge, and the button tied on with a scrap of ribbon. Simple, clean, easy peasy! Yeah!
