green frog friends

This is my first "Thursday Throwdown" challenge for Colleen's blog Distinctive Touches - the challenge this week was to use one only one color on your card. Her sample used green and froggies too...I didn't copy you Colleen, I promise! I already had this idea in my head and it collided with yours and this is what happened.

Same saying from yesterday, all stamps by smARTworks - this was actually my practice piece yesterday, as I had this scrap hanging around on my desk from the tea card, and sometimes I just use what's in reach so I don't have to get up. :) Ha! Again I used the SAMJ to position the froggies just right. Aren't they too much? I love their toes. There are 5 in the set, and their eyes all look different directions. Just the right size for the little googlie eyes too. I colored them with Prismacolor pencils and drew in the grass myself. Used a white gel pen to highlight their eyes a little bit.

I toyed with a dragonfly bead to hang off the ribbon, but I didn't have the right hardware to attach it. I needed one of those earring pin things. So - no bug. Oh well. Another sweet and simple card, and I like it anyway!

Happy Monday!
