Mix-Ability - handcut flowers

I used Jeanne's Mix-Ability challenge as an excuse to make another card for my Daily Window Bag project. The challenge is to hand-cut some posies, then ink and glitter them up!

I used Torico's adoooooooorable free digi - you can get your own HERE, then play along with her April challenge! I sized the image up just a little, then printed it on white cardstock. I dripped and brayered acrylic paint over the panel, then shaded with Prismacolor pencils after the paint was dry. Love this technique, and the texture the acrylic paint gives to the pencil. I added glitter from Sparkle 'n Sprinkle and also added some highlights with a Sakura metallic glitter pen (which I forgot I had!). Added a few stamps in the corners from my dkdesigns line at Impression Obsession. The sentiment is from The Cat's Pajamas. I put the remainder of my book page into a chipboard polaroid frame.

For the flowers, I glued a book page onto a piece of double-sided cardstock, then scraped some white acrylic paint over the book page side. I cut out some funky circles, then flipped some of the layers so the patterned cardstock showed, and sponged the edges. My background panel is a pre-printed card that is sized to fit in the clear display pocket of a Daily Window Bag.

Here's what it looks like in my bag:

Hope you'll play along with us!

Thanks for stopping by!
