Inchie+ Poinsettias

I was feeling festive last week, and wanted to work with bright colors, so I pulled out some Inchie Plus Squares (1-1/2") from Inchie Arts, and my Inktense pencils- it's been a little while since I worked with either! I hadn't inked up the Poinsettia set yet from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, so I stamped it at some different angles on the squares, then set to work coloring.

I should have taken pictures of my progress - I started off by underpainting the entire image with a gold-yellow, then added the deeper reds and greens.

Here's an angled shot so you can see the gold details - I used Lumiere acrylic paint - love that stuff! It is so bright and versatile. Watered down it is translucent but super-shimmery, and was perfect for the detail lines.

I love how these matboard squares take color so beautifully! Inchie Arts has some exciting news coming soon - can't wait to spill!!

Thanks for stopping by!
