Impression Obsession - Die Cut Obsession

There are so many amazing dies at Impression Obsession - this special Monday feature lets them have the spotlight! We hope you're inspired!

I had some fun with this card - this is Anna's new Labrador die set, paired up with the Bones and Bowl set. The square frame is HERE.
I used the Paws stencil from A Colorful Life to emboss my background, sanding it lightly with a block to highlight it just a little - this is a sample for my tutorial Wednesday, so be sure to check back for that super simple technique!
This sentiment is a fun one - I actually only stamped part of it for space - click HERE to see the full sentiment - so cute!

Be sure to check out the other designers' blogs for die cutting inspiration - see the I.O. blog for all the details! Have a great week!

Splitcoast Tutorial: Coloring Transparent Objects

Here are a couple of samples that I made for Jennie's tutorial on Coloring Transparent Objects! This was such a fun tutorial to follow - Jennie's such an experienced teacher so it was fun to add her to my collection of tutorial authors. :)

The tutorial features balloons, but I wanted to show that it could be used for other objects too... I just didn't have too many to choose from that had overlapping transparent objects! I found this image from Taylored Expressions - maybe tomorrow I'll play around with some masking to expand the gallery a little more.

I colored the image with Touch Twin Markers. The sentiment is from Unity Stamps, and the background panel was one of my test panels for the Stamped Masking tutorial we shared last week.

My second card features an image from A Day For Daisies - I love to peek over there for freebies now and then! I love her sweet and sentimental style. (And now with Evernote I can actually remember what digis I have!) Again, the sentiment here is from Unity Stamps.

Hope you'll give this one a try! xo

Dare To Get Dirty

This week, current and former Dirty Dozen designers are hosting a fun series of challenges for our Fan Club members in the annual Dare To Get Dirty event. I've been working on samples for a few weeks now, so our members have some inspiration to get their wheels turning. I may possibly have overextended myself... but it was so much fun!

I hosted a challenge yesterday, but I wanted to share this card that I made for Tammie E.'s challenge instead! This is a digital stamp from A Day For Daisies, and it's colored with Touch Twin Markers and Polychromos Pencils.

These are the Touch Twin Markers that I used:

If you're a Fan Club member, come see what we're doing in the challenge forum today! If not... why not? :)

TTC17 - Birthday

There's a new challenge up at the Touch Twin Markers & More Challenge blog - this time we're using our markers to create projects with a birthday theme. As an added challenge, we'd like to see some marker-dyed ribbon on your project. We hope you'll join the fun!

I chose an image from A Day For Daisies (Strawberry Birthday Cake Fairy), and colored it with the markers listed below... just for variety, I put my colored image on a kraft bag.

I dyed my seam binding to match my colored image - you can find a tutorial in this blog post.

These are the Touch Twin markers that I used:

You can visit the Touch Twin Markers & More Challenge blog for all the details if you'd like to play! Don't have a blog? That's OK. Just post to any online gallery with the keywords TTC17 and touchtwin. Have fun!
