Impression Obsession Product Focus - Dies

The Impression Obsession team has some projects to share today featuring our steel dies! Before I get going, I wanted to make sure you saw this special announcement! IO was able to get a large quantity of overstock dies from the manufacturer at a large discount and they're passing the savings on to us! Quantities are limited, so if you see something you love, grab it while you can and while this 40% discount lasts! These designs aren't being discontinued, don't worry!

I dug back and found a sample using a sale die - woohoo! I hadn't shared this one before. My background is brushed with ink, and then stenciled lightly with a honeycomb design. For the jar, I added some highlights first by masking with a clear glaze pen, then colored the rest in with Copic markers. Click here to see what else this jar shape can be - I have had a lot of fun with it!

The bee hive was cut separately and colored with Copic markers as well (if you get the jar you'll want that set too - it has a bunch of cute little fruits and things for a jam jar label).

For the dripping honey I fired up my hot glue gun and added some drips to the top of the jar, then colored the cooled glue with Copics. An easy effect and I love the dimension and shine! The honey drizzler (what are those called?) is actually a flower die - check the link down below to see that set! It's like a little hyacinth or something. I used a tacky adhesive and covered it with foil.

  2. Dina, what an imagination! I would never have thought to make honey with glue and then to COLOR it with markers! That is an amazing card, and I'm so glad you shared it.
