Christmas in July!

Welcome to the Scrap 'n Stamp Canada Christmas in July hop! SNS is one of Impression Obsession's retailers and they carry quite a few of my designs - this blog hop is such a fun way to collaborate! We love our retailers. 💛 Their design team will be showing off some Christmas products in their store, shoppers can save 25% on Christmas items, and you can win a $50 gift certificate! Keep reading!

If you're a regular reader of my blog and just happened upon my section of the hop, you may want to start back at the beginning with the SNS Blog so you don't miss anything. In case you're new to my blog, I'll tell you a little about me.  I adore Winnie the Pooh, randomly burst into song, and love fun socks. I'm a working artist in rural Missouri (see my commissioned pet portraits HERE), have my own line of stamps, papers and stencils at Impression Obsession, and I'm the Artist in Residence at Splitcoaststampers. I have an online store where you'll find prints of my original artwork as well as notecards, jewelry, upcycled bags, cut files and other items. I've been blogging here since 2006 and I'm a serial creator!

I pulled out a couple of last year's Christmas Pooh sets to share today! I'm sure that's no surprise to anyone. This card design was featured as this week's updated tutorial on Splitcoaststampers. I stamped the focal image from the Piglet Eeyore Tree  clear set on watercolor paper and used Copic markers to color in the scene, adding details and shading with colored pencils and dotted gesso.

Here's how that card fold looks below! Very easy to do with any nesting die set. This one is from Spellbinders.

My second card was made with the Pooh Wreath clear set - I used Karin markers and QoR watercolor paints to color the image, dotting in details with an acrylic paint pen.

The base panel was done using the herringbone technique with some red and white scraps I had tucked away. I decided the white was too bright, so I toned the panel down by brushing brown Versafine ink around the edge.

Thanks very much for visiting me today - a comment on my blog post will earn you a chance at a $50 gift certificate to Scrap 'N Stamp! Be sure to leave comments along the way as you hop - the more the better! The winner will be announced on the SNS blog on July 25th, so be sure to check back and see if it's you.
