Impression Obsession June Release
Welcome to Day 3 of Impression Obsession's June release hop! It's been a few months since IO had a release, so this is exciting! There is a fun summery mix of new designs and rebooted favorites that I think you'll really like. I'm excited to share that my Timeless Classic clear set is one of the featured sets this month! I spent some time at a car show last weekend (our small town's summer festival) and enjoyed visiting with some of the owners and remembering the car shows my dad would take us to growing up. This set is one that reminds me of my dad quite a lot, and it's full of sentiments for dads as well. I colored the image with Karin markers (love them! use code DINA15 at that link for 15% off) on regular cardstock, then shaded with colored pencils for more depth.
Here are all my card parts before I put the card together - I wanted you to see the background before it got covered up! I stamped Cover-a-Card Grunge in black Versafine Clair ink, then dusted it with a little copper embossing powder for a spotty rust effect. When that cooled I spritzed the panel with water and embossed with Verdigris powder then brushed a little brown ink here and there. I don't want you to forget that IO still offers hundreds of AMAZING background stamps in red rubber - this is an older one that is just so cool for roughing up a background.
