Impression Obsession - Old is New

With such a huge collection of wonderful stamps from so many artists, sometimes the older stamps in the Impression Obsession catalog find their way out of the spotlight. We don't want them to be forgotten, so we like to feature them regularly. We hope you're inspired!

I actually shared this card a couple of weeks ago in a photo of several projects made with the same collaged background paper... my tutorial author for this week canceled last minute so I decided to feature the tutorial again today for the Splitcoaststampers newsletter, and the card fits for my blog post as well! Yay.

I used a bunch of stamps for this card - I will list them below. That trim... once upon a time probably 5 years ago I bought a bolt of this vintage trim at Salvation Army for less than $3... it will last me a lifetime, I'm sure!

Here's a closer look at the collage stamping - the tutorial is called 4-in-1 Collage Background, but I set mine up to make slimline backgrounds, so mine is a 3-in-1. The poinsettias are amazing for quick backgrounds - these actually are stamped in a bright pink ink but they blended to red on the kraft cardstock. I used this stencil for a little more texture in the background.

Stamps I used:

Remember that IO still has  grab bags of unmounted stamps! For just $5 you'll receive a bundle of "dozens" of unmounted rubber stamps! The photos I've seen of these grab bags have been really nice.

Be sure to check out the other designers' blogs for inspiration - see the I.O. blog for all the links and details!

Thanks for stopping by!
