Sales and stamping with paint!
Just a quick and random post today! I've been collecting sale info for you for the weekend - I'm thinking ahead to holiday crafting, and there are some great stock-up sales listed already! Here's the page to bookmark - I'll add more info as I find it!
I have 2 unrelated projects to share today... actually, they both fit my MIX-ability challenge for this week, which is to stamp with paint!
I used the lid of my watercolor palette as a stamp pad for the background above - the Mandala is from Impression Obsession, and it's been fun to play with!
(Speaking of IO, I'm just gonna leave this here....)
Stamping with watercolor paint instead of ink here lets the design stay put a little more permanently when you add color over and around it - I used the same paint area to give myself a little negative grounding, creating an eye line and white 'snow' area. The dies are new from Sharyn Sowell via Spellbinders - such a sweet little scene!
My other project was a special commission! These earring dies are from Taylored Expressions - I have some similar designs in my store, but my customer wanted something a little more dressy and long, in coral. The pieces are matboard, which is gel printed... I used an IO script stamp and stencils from A Colorful Life Designs in my layers.
I hope you're inspired and that you'll find some crafty deals for your holiday stamping too! I made a Dollar Tree run yesterday and picked up lots of things for painting - can't wait until they get their Christmas goodies in!
