Impression Obsession DT Challenge: Squared
The Impression Obsession team's challenge today is to create a square card. Here's mine! I love this fun combo for summer.
I die cut a square of watercolor paper and built the sentiment first. For the strawberries, I used this image, positioning it off the edges so I didn't get too much of the tea cup in the picture.

I used Zig Clean Color markers to color the panel, scribbling color onto a piece of plastic to make a quick temporary palette. Below you can see the droplets a little closer - those are done with hot glue. If you try this... make sure your gun is good and hot, squeeze out a tiny bit, and then circle the tip of the gun around the droplet to keep the glue in a round droplet instead of creating a point.

Beautiful! I love how you selectively used the stamp. It's a great reminder of how versatile an image can be.
ReplyDeleteSo summery and fresh!
ReplyDeleteVery cute card, Dina!
ReplyDelete(on a side note - I couldn't leave a message on the IO Blog for this hop, so would you let them know that as of Fri 8/5 2:25 AM CST, ALL the links for the "squared" hop are linked to last month's entry, except Laura"s. They might like to fix them! Thanks :)
It's been fixed - thank you for letting us know! :)

ReplyDeleteSuch a clever way to "stretch" the use of this stamp!
