New Power Poppy Release - Cozy Cupfuls!
Once in a while I get the chance to hop with the Power Poppy team to help show off a new release - I love it when that happens!I'm excited this month especially, because Power Poppy is one of our sponsors for Hope You Can Cling To... we're having a great time sharing stories and collecting cards - almost 1500 so far! We're hoping to have at least 4000 when we finish this year.
This sweet new Cozy Cupfuls set grabbed me and it was so fun to work with. I chose an ink that would bleed just a tiny bit on Canva-Paper because I like that vintagey look - I went a little more wet with my watercoloring today too, just to see what would happen when colors bled into the background.
I used a white Posca pen to add a few highlights - I am really happy with that pen - it's an acrylic paint pen, and it's performed the best of any white pens I've tried - no clogs and a nice bright white. It's great for mixed media too, since it can write over painted surfaces. I'm into these quilty scrap backgrounds lately too - one of my favorite ways to clean off my desk! :)
Stop by and see my friends' beautiful creations below - there are 3 adorable images in the set along with a bunch of sweet sentiments... lots of inspiration to be found, and you can count on this team to inspire!
Oh, Dina, I just love this image too and love these two precious cardinals (my mom's favorites). And what a dreamy image with the watercolor on the canva-paper. I love how it bleeds a bit for a beautiful touch. And I also love the scrap background (been following someone in Australia that has been making scrap cards this year, and it's been inspiring). And now you've really inspired me more! What a sweet and gorgeous card, and I'm so delighted you got to join in with the Bloomies today! You've all delighted and inspired me! And thanks for the tip about the white Posca pen. Hugs!
