Splitcoast Tutorial - Burst Through

It's my turn to share a tutorial over on Splitcoast, and I chose a request from one of our members - it's the Burst Through technique. It's a fun effect that makes it look like a character stamp is emerging through the layers of your card. Here are the samples I made for the video:

This stamp set is called "Brains!" and it's HERE at The Cat's Pajamas. Just so cute!

For the second card, I used the same papers, but fussy cut the mummy and cut a smaller opening for him.

This sentiment cracks me up! Oh, a tip on the edges - those lines are scored from the back side of the cardstock, and then lightly sanded. It's a great way to lightly break up the pattern and add a little distressed look as well.
