Splitcoast Tutorial: Rolled Flower Dies
Today's tutorial over on Splitcoast is brought to us by the Rolled Flower Die expert, Kittie Caracciolo - she's sharing her tips for making these spiral die cuts more realistic.
Here's the card I made, using stamps and dies from Impression Obsession. The sentiment is one of my designs, stamped on a 2" Art Square from Inchie Arts.
Kittie's main tip is to roll each petal back using round nose pliers - I hadn't tried that step before, and I love how it adds a layer of realism to the flower buds, even the tiny ones.
This little set of tiny insects was in my stash and I'd never used it before... all the insects are on a single stamp, and they cut out with a single die. The die lines up within a rectangle border on the stamp for easy placement. So cute!
Stamps and dies I used: Insect set (stamp), Insect set (die), Impulse 2, Spiral Flowers Large, All-in-One Frames - Squares
Here's an angled view so you can see the dimension on this card - so fun!
