Splitcoast Tutorial: Tissue Paper Collage

Lydia's tutorial this week is a fun technique using colored tissue paper to add fun accents to a mixed media project. My card is similar to her sample, but I used a book page as my base, and brayered acrylic paint for the background color.

To create the grass, stems, and leaves I used this fun clear set from my stamp line at Impression Obsession - this was a fun one to create, and it's great for faux watercolor stamping and scenes.

Here's a closer look at the flowers - to add color to the white tissue paper, I scribbled onto my craft sheet with Touch Twin Markers, added a spritz of rubbing alcohol, and laid the paper into the wet ink. I cut the paper into spirals and adhered it to my base with gel medium, then added in dots and details with acrylic and alcohol markers when it was all dry.

Hope you'll try this technique out!
Thanks for stopping by!
