Splitcoast Tutorial: Glittered Stenciling

It's my turn to share a new tutorial at Splitcoast - I hope you'll take a peek this week and learn how to do Glittered Stenciling! This is my favorite sample from the ones I made in the video. This is a simple technique but adds such a fun element to backgrounds and panels. And I am normally pret-ty restrained when it comes to glitter!

This adorable image reminded me of the bunnies in the children's book, Guess How Much I Love You, and just for the sake of that sweet book they had to come and live with me. :) The image is called Smooching, and it's from the Artful Stamper.

The sky was colored with Gelatos before I masked the bunnies and ground and stenciled the rays. You can see the stenciling process in the video on the tutorial page. I filled the bunnies' tails with French Knots - they're so fluffy! The bunnies and grass were watercolored using Shinhan Premium Watercolors.

Hope you'll give this a try!

Thanks for stopping by!
