Impression Obsession DT Challenge: I {heart} you!
The Impression Obsession team's challenge today is to create a Valentine project!
I haven't gotten my new Valentine dies yet, so I made a birdhouse treat holder, following this week's tutorial at Splitcoast, and using the Brick House and Square House sets, the circle from the Nest and Hole set, and a bird from the Birds set.
The bird is shaded using Polychromos Pencils. The sentiment and heart are from a clear set called Heartlines.
To create my own box insert, I cut a piece of cardstock 4" x 5.75", and scored at 1.5" from each edge. I cut in on the score lines to their intersections from the long side, and folded those tabs in to create a box.
Here's a back view - the roof was actually blue... I colored it lightly to pick up the texture in the cardstock and the detail of the embossing lines in the die. The back house panel is lightly sponged.
