TTC27 - Fall Monochrome

There's a new challenge up at the Touch Twin Markers & More Challenge blog - this time we're using our markers to create projects with a fall theme. As an added challenge, we'd like you to use a monochrome color scheme on your project. We hope you'll join the fun!

I love Gary Robertson's images for monochrome coloring! This is one of a series of Fall scenes he did, called Fall Triptych 2.

I had seen this tutorial on Pinterest for achieving a crinkled look on diecut florals, and I thought it would give a neat look to the new leaf dies from Impression Obsession - I love how they turned out. I also used the Square Shaker die to add an embossed frame to my image.

Beginning with the lightest color, I added layers and blended until I got the depth of shading that I wanted. Here are some photos I took to show my process...

You can visit the Touch Twin Markers & More Challenge blog for all the details if you'd like to play! Don't have a blog? That's OK. Just post to any online gallery with the keywords TTC27 and touchtwin. Have fun!
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Thank you, Dina! I never considered coloring an image like this, but it's a wonderful idea for a really detailed stamp like this!
