Stamping with Jill - Flowers Sweet

I'm soooo thrilled to be hanging out with Jill Foster this month!! If you're not familiar with Jill's blog then you are truly missing out.   Jill has an amazing eye for color and design, and I'm so blessed to call her my friend. We were able to meet in person at CHA and she's truly as sweet as she is talented.  ♥

We have been planning some joint posts since last year just for fun, and our schedules have finally aligned.  We have **six** challenges planned between us during the month of August and for each post we will both be working with the same stamps.  I haven't seen anything she's created yet, and I can't wait to see what she comes up with - I know it will be awesome and unique.

Huuuuuge thanks to Penny Black for providing the stamps for us to play with!!  We'll be working with the Flowers Sweet clear set today...

I started my card off by laying out 6 Inchie Plus Squares from Inchie Arts, then stamping the chrysanthemum image at different angles around the grid. I did my coloring with ShinHan watercolors - I love how vibrant these tube watercolors are!!

I don't have scalloped rectangle dies, but do I have the squares - to create my scalloped rectangle base, I took 2 squares and overlapped them, lining up the scallops.

The diecut I used is from a Quickutz set - I shaded it just a little with a Prismacolor pencil to give it a little more dimension. The seambinding was dyed with reinkers, and the charm... is from... a bulk seller in Hong Kong. Not sure exactly where I got that one.

Now, take a peek over at Jill's blog to see what she's created with this floral set today!
Thanks for stopping by!
