Impression Obsession DT Challenge: my favorite stamp

The Impression Obsession team's challenge today is to create a project using our favorite I.O. stamp. I waffled on this a little bit... I have sooooooo many favorites.... but settled on the orchid stamp. You know I love my orchids... here's my yellow one, in full bloom now:

And my card:The Orchids are watercolored using reinkers. When the image was dry, I covered all the colored areas with a Sakura Glaze pen, then stamped over the piece with Cover-a-Card Reverse Damask, another favorite of mine. I misted the inked stamp before stamping it, so the ink would bleed just a little. I trimmed along some of the flowers and embossed them from behind for a little extra dimension. The sentiment can be found HERE.

  2. Dina, your creations are always so lovely, and this one is especially beautiful. I love the soft colors you used. I enjoy reading through your details to explain your steps. Do you use a waterbrush when you watercolor with the reinkers? I am intrigued with how you trimmed along the flowers and embossed from behind for dimension -- how much trimming do you do?
