apples in pink....
I'd say Fall is one of the things I miss most about home - especially where the only seasons we have here are "rainy" and "less rainy"...! One of my favorite things about Fall is that pinkish glow in the sky in the late afternoon - we lived for 6 years in Missouri on the Lake of the Ozarks, and I miss those beautiful Fall days.
I decided to use pink as my base color for this new Fall image from Gary Robertson. It's colored with Neopiko markers and shaded with Prismacolor pencils.... one cool thing about Gary's illustrations is that there are indications (cross hatched areas) where you should shade as you color. That really helps, and makes his images great for coloring in the way I did here (laying down a solid base of color first with alcohol markers, then shading over top with colored pencil) or with watercolors.
We have a long weekend here, thanks to the end of the Fasting Month - I'm thankful for a chance to slow down a little and relax with friends... being sick off and on for 3 weeks, I haven't been out much!
Praying for a peaceful weekend for all..........
