quick like a bunny...

Just a quick post today...I have a new helper who started today so I need to be available to show her how we like things done. She is *gasp* 14...that was not included in our pastor's description...not sure if that was left purposely vague or not! She's very quiet, but seems very willing to learn and ask questions, so that is a good start. It will require patience on my part for a time...but once she has things into a routine that will help. Her uncle, who dropped her off yesterday, is a pastor, and encouraged her to be willing to learn, and to see her job here as a ministry, helping us in our home so we are free to do our ministry on campus....that really is a quality that was lacking in our last girl, so I was thankful that she received that encouragment.

Another card usingthe Two Bunnies set from smARTworks...but this is just one of them! I stamped the image on watercolor paper, did a wash (wet the paper with a brush), then added a few dots of black watercolor. Since the paper was wet, the paint bled just a little, which was the look I wanted. I trimmed the bunny out after he dried. The saying and grass stamp are part of the set as well. The base panel was scored at 1/2" intervals with my Scor-Pal...and those flowers are silk flowers I bought in Bali (super cheap too!) which I dyed with a chalk pad.

Guess that's it! Have a great day!

  1. What a darling card! Love the bunny... smARTworks had such great images - and you have such creative instincts in using them to create beautiful cards. You (still) inspire me, and, yes, enable me. (smile)

  2. Glad you have a new girl (& even perhaps a great background). Don't let the age thing worry you... lots of girls that age are more mature than older ones! Just trust the Lord & pray for her to catch on quickly. I pray that your & her day will go smoothly & that He will show you His faithfulness once again. Blessings!
