Joy Boy

Some of you have asked if the "Joy Boy" set features one of my kids - the answer is YES! That is my youngest son, Elliot. This picture was taken on a super rainy day, the first big rainy day after we moved to the campus here, and all the kids were out running around on the soccer field soaked to the gills. (BTW...I know it looks like he's wearing a dress, but he's not...he's just unsnapped. LOL)

Since I'm on a roll with the altered sheet music this week, here's one more using the Joy Boy set. I can tell I was pretty emotional when I made this - seems stress brings out bolder color combinations in my art. Funny how that works, huh? The main image is colored with markers, and was masked to stipple the background and stamp the flourishes (Stella set). The word 'joyous' is from the Combo Companions set...it's embossed with 'Japanese Lacquer' EP from Sparkle 'n' Sprinkle - a color DH made me buy! In hindsight I think I might like that better in white...but it is what it is. The corner punch I used is called "Intricate Iris" by EKSuccess. I trimmed diagonally across the corner before attaching the corners to the card. There's actually a dew drop on each corner, but you can't see them!
Here's the whole set..........
Thanks for stopping by~!
