Happy Wednesday!
Just wanted to share the next Tea Party challenge with you. Donelda (aka wiggydl) is our hostess for next week, and she threw down one word for us: CIRCLES. Circles in any form: a circular card, circles on the card, stamped circles, circle embellishments.......but use circles.
Funny thing: I was already planning to post this card when I posted the challenge - hey look...circles!!
I thought I'd try my hand at a vintage card - a style maybe I need to study a little more, but it was fun doing something different. The images on this card are from the set "One Smile," which is maybe the first photo stamp I ever purchased.....then I started making my own! I didn't color the image at all - another 'unusual' for me. I'm not sure that there's a lot to explain here, so if you have questions, please ask. The corner embossing was kind of fun - the straight lines were done with my Scor-Pal, and the circle was done by lightly embossing with an 1/8" punch - just don't squeeze too hard! I usually put a folded paper behind to make sure I don't punch through. This might also qualify as a Tea Party card from our last challenge - what do you think? I think I used some of the scraps that were still on my desk...but maybe not. (I had to clean my desk so I could get out of my pale blue/tan color rut, seriously...I couldn't believe how many of my cards were the same colors last week...)
Here's a sneak peek at a new smARTworks/dkdesigns stamp....just for fun!
WoW! This is just beautiful. I just love all the embellishments you added to this card.
