Day Lily

Just a quick post and simple card today...this gorgemous Day Lily image is from Heart and Soul Rubber Stamp Co...I colored it in with Prismacolor pencils, and blended with OMS. The background is also done with pencil. The cardstock I used is a natural color with a copper fleck in it, so that shows through a little.

I can't remember if I mentioned that I purchased a Scor-Pal when I was at Stampfest - I keep it under my desk and I think I use it on every card I make...I love the look of that scored edge - it just finishes the layer for me.

The edge of the card was done using the Corner Adorner "Iron Eagle" punch (it's an orange one) - I removed the corner guide and just punched along the edge, starting in the middle. That's kind of a cool look - how fun to make borders with corner punches!

Another crazy week here...Sunday was our Independence Day, so Monday was full of cooking and activities in celebration of that...Tuesday I spent getting things organized for school, with plans to start on the 25th...yesterday most of the staff went to another funeral, a staff member's step-mother (the man who takes care of all our government registration, paperwork, etc), and hubby and my helper were down with terrible headaches, then we had some of the single guys over and ended up chatting with a couple until midnight! I still have more school stuff to do today...but I soooooo wish it was Friday...
