monochrome fishers of men

One last card using Our Daily Bread designs' Fishers of Men set. I love this technique of monochrome watercoloring. Someday I'll get a tutorial done - would there be interest in that? Other than that, the card is pretty self-explanatory. I left the torn spiral edge of my watercolor paper just for fun. The bottom panel is stamped and sponged with Versafine Vintage Sepia ink.

I've noticed my last howevermany cards have been pretty embellishmentless........so I guess you can tell I'm making progress in packing.......!

  1. Is "embelishmentless" a word? Good one! And a nice card. I would definately be interested in your monochrome watercoloring tutorial. I read your Scrap Strip Card tutorial last night and plan to try it today. Thanks!
A question. Do you send your cards to others? Maybe this card will be a birthday card for a man?

  4. Dina,
Yes! I would love to see a tutorial from you on water coloring! I have tried and tried and tried [ok, maybe only two tries - cause I got discouraged] to water color with pencils, but I do not get the lovely effect you do. Especially the whole shading thing you do. :o) Thank you!!

    Take care and STAY POSITIVE!!

  5. Dina, your cards are gorgeous; I love your colouring!! Why can't my momma ask YOU instead of me to make her religious cards? *grin*

  6. Love the card, Dina and am looking forward to the tutorial when your life settles down once again. The embellishmentless look suits this card perfectly.

How did you get the spattered look on the sponged layer? Or is that part of the tutorial?

I'm praying for all of you as you are in the big countdown toward going home.
