rejoice!

Thought I'd share a super simple layout - this was fun to do and used up some scraps too...always a good thing. :) This is a standard A2 card, but trimmed about an inch from the edge so the inside hangs out a bit. I lined the 'hangin' out' part with the striped paper - it goes to just under the edge of the front of the card, about an inch wide, and 1/16" in from the outside edges. The rest of that paper strip is on the front of the card, drawing an eye-line to the focal image. That panel is centered to the corner of the card but hangs off the front of the card a bit.

Stamped details: the cutie bird is from the Birdie Bitties set (smARTworks online catalog, page 86). The bird was holding a stamped flower - well, he still is, but it's under the silk flower now. What I get for punching the hole before being sure that's what I wanted to do...yep, an opportunity for embellishment. :) Oh well...I do like it!

I inked the single word (from one of the Bible verse stamps) with a marker and trimmed around it - out came the SAMJ again to get it straight. I love it! That piece is popped with foam tape.

I think I'm going to be mass-producing this layout as I have little snippets of time - I found some fun metallic confetti I'd stashed away and I'm needing a bunch of birthday cards, so I'm thinking this would be a great layout for some quick mass-prod shaker cards. I'll be sure to share when I get them done!
