Impression Obsession September Red Rubber Kit

It's time to unveil a new red rubber kit from Impression Obsession! I got to design the set this month, so join me in letting out a little squeal! Eep! Now go get one!

The anchor image of the kit is this classic illustration from Winnie the Pooh, about a Blustery Day. I've added a few blowing leaves of my own to Dinafy the scene. 😉 You might also be happy to know that this image will fit your A2 card in either orientation!

I used Karin markers to lay down some solid colors on Pooh and Piglet, then shaded with colored pencils and added in some grassy strokes. After they were colored, I masked them off with contact paper, brushed in some ink, and stamped the dashed background stamp... this is a fun one for wind, bees, stitch lines, and so much more!

You'll want to see what my friends have created with the set, and leave comments along the way, because two lucky commenters will receive an Impression Obsession Grab Bag! The more you comment through our Release Celebration, the more chances to win! All comments for each of the event days will be open until Tuesday September 6th at 8pm CT and all winners will be announced on Wednesday September 7th on the Impression Obsession Blog.

Note: The original Winnie the Pooh book by A.A. Milne came into the public domain in January 2022. All the images in my Pooh sets use original line art by E.H. Shepard with portions replaced with my own art. I do my level best to preserve recognizable imagery rather than redrawing my own version out of respect for the artist and characters. Disney does not own rights to the book illustrations, and they have no say over the modifications and derivative workings many stamp companies are producing now. Thank you for being concerned, if you were!

  1. What a great set! That went RIGHT into my IO wish list!!! I love the dotted lines for wind too. The other DT cards are cute too-which to me always mean the base set was well done. :) Congrats! Margot

  2. Dina, this is SO ADORABLE! I DID WONDER about the copyright of these images. So glad you explained it! BIG QUESTION: WILL YOU BE COMING OUT WITH MORE of the Pooh Images, in the form of the kits???? Would LOVE TO KNOW! ADORABLE!!! ;)<3

  3. I love your card and that you crafted the illustration to fit an A2 card in either portrait or landscape! Thank you!

  4. So so sweet Dina! I love your card and the lovely sentiment. A great Winnie the Pooh release. Thanks so much for the information regarding the images. :)

Really sweet scene with this adorable Pooh and Piglet image! Looks like a blustery day!

  7. Gorgeous Dina!!!! I love how the images are still somewhat "sketchy". Looks like the Pooh books I had as a kid. My mom, or dad, would read them to me. They're both gone now but thank you for the memory/smile. Thanks also for explaining about the Pooh images. I thought they might have become public domain.

  8. Lovely drawings and sweet cards

  9. Absolutely gorgeous in your 'Dina' style! Love everything Pooh bear related.

  10. Love your card and this great Pooh set! All are going on my wish list.

  11. Such sweet cards. Love Pooh and Piglet. Your coloring is perfect for these old faves.
