Impression Obsession - June Kit red rubber reprise

We're swinging back to take another look at the red rubber  kit from Impression Obsession this month! I've enjoyed working with this one - I hope you'll be inspired by the projects we're sharing today!

My card today is a bit of an odd fold - I had this concept in my head, but was experimenting with a tri-fold idea and the 3rd panel wasn't quite wide enough so I cut it off. The card has a little 'spine' so it stands up with a little diorama-like dimension, but also opens like a regular card, and can fold flat for mailing in an A2 envelope.

If you want to make one like this, the base panel is 5.5" x 8". On the 8" side, I scored at 3-3/4" and 4-1/4". I stamped the gull image on the front of the card, then used a ruler and craft knife to cut out a frame 1/2" from the edge of the card and inside the stamped image. (I'm going to keep working on the trifold card idea - if it works you'll see it Wednesday in the Splitcoast newsletter!)

I used a light grey pencil to add a little highlighting on the stamped image inside the card.
