Impression Obsession - Old is New

With such a huge collection of wonderful stamps from so many artists, sometimes the older stamps in the Impression Obsession catalog find their way out of the spotlight. We don't want them to be forgotten, so we like to feature them regularly. We hope you're inspired!

I'm getting ready to switch computers so I've been going through old files, and I found a folder called "Not Posted" - so I know this is definitely old and has never been blogged! This was also one of the cards I created when I was on the Splitcoast Dirty Dozen team in 2011. For the monthly theme we were creating shaped cards and using punches and dies.

This flamingo is absolutely fabulous - I colored her in with alcohol markers, covered over the image with a Sakura Glaze pen, and then used Blow Pens to add a splash of color. I misted the area to blend the colors a little too. The lei is embellished with Flower Soft. Anyone still have Flower Soft or Blow Pens? Hahaaaa!

Here is the card closed up - loving this design and those border punches - actually I think the scallop was a Fiskars rotary blade! Dating myself again.
