Dina Kowal Creative: Spellbinders October Large Die Kit

The Large Die Club Kit offered by Spellbinders this month is a beautiful all-occasion set - it's perfect for a welcome card, invitation, or seasonal greeting.

I went with an elegant everyday card - one day my door will be painted red - I love that look and the meaning behind it! The set comes with 2 options for the mat, as well as a wreath that can be decorated for any occasion. I love the little metallic accents in the window, mail slot and knob!

I cut all my pieces out of canvas-textured cardstock, then used Copic markers for the details and shading. The card base is a light grey cardstock, and I lightly stenciled the bricks.

A bonus card, just because I wanted you to know that the door cuts on only 3 sides, so it can 'hinge' open if you want that effect! I cut the door in a watercolor panel, painted in the details, and then used a liner pen to outline a few areas for a more sketchy look. I backed the panel with a flat panel of cardstock, then added a sentiment with the door open.
