Splitcoast Tutorial: Double Panel Gate Card

This week's tutorial over on Splitcoast is a fun and easy twist on the classic gate fold card - this Double Panel Gate Card has additional front panels that cross over the central opening. Fun and easy!

I've been on a vintage stamp collecting kick lately (mainly quirky Portfolio people stamps, but a few others that I love as well on ebay) - the stamp on the top panel here is from The Stamp Clinic, but I recognized the image as one that has been on my wish list on Etsy for a long time. The company name is different, so I wrote to the Etsy seller and told her I had found this one and wondered if it was a treasure. Turns out she owned The Stamp Clinic in the 90s and has rebranded the whole line, which is still intact! Hope you'll go and visit York's Little Art Studio and see what she has over there - this line of "Little Ladies" stamps is absolutely adorable, and a few more of them will be coming to live with me soon!

The stamps on the bottom panel are from my Happy Mail clear set, which has lots of stamps for small business owners but has plenty of other uses as well. I colored both panels with Karin Markers, using a few different techniques. So fun!

This was a fun one, especially having the two panels to decorate on the front!

This week I have had a lot of fun playing with a new-to-me medium - polymer clay! Here's my mess in the basement - I have lots to learn and endless ideas.

Have a great week!
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. well now, you enabled me! LOL
I had to a get vintage frog stamp that goes with one I already own....but then I wanted to see the Little Ladies...and several will be coming to live with me! They seem so small I am thinking they could make lovely gift tags
