Spellbinders May Glimmer Kit
Here are a couple of projects with this month's Glimmer Kit from Spellbinders! For once, I did actually start off with a traditional foiled card, clean and simple!
The main anchor of the kit is the large Thanks word art block, and the small floral accents can be placed around the block, or used separately for embellishments, a wreath, or whatever you like. There are foiling layers for the flowers as well. There are also some single line sentiments that can be added - here's the full array in the kit.
For a second sample, I used the word plate to press into a piece of Canva-Paper for a letterpress effect, then I used that as a guide for watercoloring! I filled in the letters lightly with an alcohol marker, then used watercolor stamps from Art Impressions to embellish each area. These stamps are from their Watercolor line, so they're specifically designed to be inked with a marker or small dye ink pad and blended with a wet brush. These are some of their older sets, but their line has expanded dramatically - if you like this look, you'll enjoy browsing through all the options!
Here's a closer look - I love this paper for the canvas-like texture - it will take alcohol ink and watercolor nicely as well!
As usual, here are the club details, if you're interested!
