Splitcoast Tutorial: Glitter Paper

This week's tutorial over on Splitcoast was a lot of fun! Using gel medium and fine glitter you can make your own Glitter Paper!

My friends at Spellbinders sent me this gorgeous new "Sunday Drive" car set to play with - I may have mentioned that my Dad had a really extensive knowledge of classic cars, and we used to enjoy going to car shows together. He would have known the exact make and model of this one, but I just know that it reminds me of him and makes me smile.  I wanted to give it some extra glitz, so I was thrilled to be able to die cut my glitter cardstock!

Here's a closer look at the car and the glitter paper - I used matte gel medium and some fine glitter I picked up at the Dollar Tree. My little bridge is masked off and watercolored - that was fun. My favorite part of the card doesn't show well in the photos, but you can see it better below - I used the Big Rays stencil from A Colorful Life Designs to emboss the background.

The massive clearance sale at Spellbinders ends Friday, so be sure to check that out - if you are a Club Member, you can take this survey to get a $5 coupon as well!

I'm staying busy over here - several portraits ready to roll, as well as rolling more paper beads! I added more bead cutting files to my Etsy store today, so there are a total of 13 bundles over there if you are interested in making your own!

Cheers!
Thanks for stopping by!
