Impression Obsession DT Challenge: Sending Sunshine
The Impression Obsession team's challenge today is to create a project that's full of sunshine.
Here are a couple of cards I made for last year's Summer catalog release - on the first card, the background is done with dye and spray inks on photo paper, using a die cut circle as a mask for the sun.
For this card I used Brusho on photo paper, and sponged through a circle stencil to create the sun! Photo paper is so interesting to work with, because it immediately grabs the ink on contact. With Brusho, it's a perfect surface to capture all those intial specks and spreads.
Here's the silhouette image I used, and the sunshine/shadow sentiment is HERE (do you recognize that line from Oh Danny Boy?):

I love these cards. What a wonderful image you used for them.
ReplyDeleteLovely! I like that technique.
