Impression Obsession DT Challenge: Holiday Greetings

The Impression Obsession team's challenge today is to create a project with a holiday greeting.

I wanted to share a couple of sentiments in my line that were created especially for those who are missing loved ones during the holiday season... some of you know that I lost my Dad in September, so these sentiments are especially meaningful this year, and I know I'm not the only one.

This sentiment can go on the front or inside of a card, or if you want to split it for the front and inside, it would be easy to cut apart or ink the top two and bottom two lines separately. The bottom two lines could be used any time of year.

I used the same rose stamp on both cards - it's a beautiful large image by Alesa Baker, and so easy to color in a variety of styles. I just used a loose watercolor style for these cards... for the first layer of color I did a light wash and used a mister bottle to let the colors bleed out into the background. I did two more layers, sort of wet into wet, concentrating the color as I added more in. I added some metallic watercolor as a final step, in loose lines and splatters. Link is below!

Here's another more recent sentiment - I love the simplicity of it, and it could be used for a variety of situations, including illness and recovery.

Here's a closer look at the roses  - I love this deep pink!

Stamps I used: Rambling Roses, Gentle Thoughts, Precious Memories
