Splitcoast Tutorial: Faceted Basket
This week's tutorial over on Splitcoast is another sweet little treat holder called a Faceted Basket - this one can either be made with the Pyramid Pals die from Stampin' Up or the template we have as a free download on the tutorial page.
There are 2 variations of the little basket, with and without the handle - both were so much fun to make!
I don't have the SU die, so I used the printable template - if you do this, you might want to print it in a grayscale so the black lines aren't so noticeable inside the basket.
For the additional side pieces, I traced around the side of the basket with the flaps, and just trimmed a tab off each one according to the instructions.
Here's the handled basket - I colored up the daffodils with Copic markers and used a 3rd daffodil image to make the leaves.
This little clutch uses the same instructions, but closes with a little flap adhered to the back side - no handle.
For my closure I used a tag die from Quickutz, then cut a piece of magnet sheet using the next smaller die.
Here's the inspiration for my projects today - I was so excited to find so many daffodils pushing up today behind our house, and a few already in bloom!
So fun to see little hints of spring like this, and to actually see what's planted in our yard!
VERY NICE, DINA! So Pretty with the floral/printed papers!!! We have daffodils blooming here too! SPRING is on it's way/ or is HERE! LOL :D
