Splitcoast Tutorial: Surprise Shaker Card

This week's tutorial over on Splitcoast is the creation of Rebecca Ednie - it's called a Surprise Shaker Card... there's a sliding panel that pulls out to reveal an inner shaker panel. So clever, and really fun to make! Here's mine closed...

...and with the panel removed! A stamp positioner is really helpful in creating 3 identical panels, so the frame, sliding panel, and shaker panel can line up perfectly.

Rebecca's instructions are really great, but I managed to mess up a few times anyway... the line of die cut lace covers up where I accidentally cut off the bottom of my slider panel... then I smudged the slider panel... thankfully it was just a little spot, and I was able to file it off.

These stamps and the lace die are from my line at Impression Obsession - Dress Form Trio Lg. Sew, Happy For You, Border Duo 1 die set. I used Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink for my stamping, and I love the crisp, dark image! This is the Dark Brown, though it looks black in the photos.

Thanks for checking in on me today! Scroll down to make sure you haven't missed anything - lots going on this week!

Thanks for stopping by!
