Falliday Fest card drive - Operation Quiet Comfort

Today the cards made for Falliday Fest will be benefiting Operation Quiet Comfort, a support organization that "exists solely for the purpose of honoring and comforting America’s military men and women who become sick and injured while serving in harm’s way. " For the drive, we're collecting patriotic thank you cards. Here's one I made, which also fits this week's Mix-Ability challenge.

I had a panel scored for a different project but decided not to use it, so that became my card base. I die cut a square and left it in, just to break up the white space a little.

For the focal panel, I used a new die from Impression Obsession to create a chipboard stencil:

...then I traced each opening onto a 3" Art Square from Inchie Arts, and did a little doodling with a waterproof pen. I watercolored the sections with palette blended ink from 2 Zig Clean Color markers then colored a few sections directly with the markers. The sentiment is from my Life Stuff Sentiments clear set.

Come over to the Falliday Fest Challenge Forum for all the details!

Thanks for stopping by!
