Phenomenal Unicorns

My Mini MISTI arrived this week, so I gave it a test run on a set of 3 cards - these will go to some of our phenomenal tutorial authors, so I thought the Unicorn was appropriate...

Isn't that a beautiful image? It's from Creative Vision's line from I Love Rubber Stamps. When I ordered it, I didn't realize that the price included TWO unicorns in different sizes - so that was a fun surprise! This is the larger of the 2 - it's beautifully detailed, and so much fun. The stamps are backed with cling foam, and they're deeply etched red rubber.

My card actually fits Lydia's Mix-Ability challenge to use only primary colors - I did a pretty watery wash in the background and just dotted in red, yellow, and blue QoR watercolors. The grey I used is a mixture of the 3 colors. QoR also has a few iridescent colors, and I used the pearl on the horn, mane, and tail. The sentiment is from my line at Impression Obsession - you can find it HERE.

Just for fun, Creative Vision has given me a referral link that will give you a 25% discount on your first stamp order. Just click below to get started!

Hope you have a wonderful week - today I'm on my way to spend the week with my parents, and I'm looking forward to catching up on some sleep!
Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Dino,
I LOVE my card! Thank you!!! Your watercoloring is just fantastic. My 12 yo daughter was quite impressed as well. Now, I'm off to take a look at Creative Vision.
