Splitcoast Tutorial: Outer Space Background

Today's tutorial over on Splitcoast is a fun mixed media Outer Space Background - it's sort of a funny fit for the holidays but I made it work with this Santa die! I love how this turned out. Click over to the tutorial to see how the depth of of the background is achieved.

I used Hydrus liquid watercolors for my background, then covered the area with a coat of QoR Pearl Medium. The stars were splattered in with a rigger brush, and I added details to a few of the larger stars for some extra shine.

Impression Obsession products I used: Santa die,  Banners and Tails die set, Life Stuff Sentiments clear set.
