Wood Block Paperweight

This week's tutorial over on Splitcoast is a really sweet altered Wood Block- I hope you'll come and visit to see Robin's sunflower paperweight - it is beautiful!


I went in a different direction with mine, so I could update the Paper Bow tutorial with a video. The paper I used is photocopied from a vintage Christmas songbook I inherited from my aunt. I used gel medium to adhere it to the block, following the tutorial instructions. (I got my block on Amazon HERE.) The corners are sponged with Stazon ink, and I added some light stamping too.


Here's a look at the top - the holly flourish is a die from Impression Obsession. The video for making the bows is below - they're a lot of fun!
