Impression Obsession DT Challenge: Summer Fun
The Impression Obsession team's challenge today is to create a project that showcases our summer stamps and dies.
I thought I'd share a card I made at last weekend's Great Yosemite Stamp Escape - I had the honor of teaching a class showcasing some watercolor techniques, and 2 watercolor mediums - Color Burst Watercolor Powder and Peerless Watercolor sheets.
This card was made using the Tree Frame die, which was debossed into a piece of watercolor paper. On the back side of the card, I used a white crayon to rub over the raised outlines, creating a wax resist for my watercoloring.
The trunk of the tree was painted with Peerless paints, and then I used yellow, green, and blue Color Burst for the leafy areas, spritzing with water to let the colors blend and move. The grass was painted with the extra paint that fell onto the taped edges.
The swing stamp can be found HERE and the sentiment HERE.
