Introducing Power Poppy!

I'm so thrilled to be sharing a project along with the Bloom Brigade today! Did you SEE all their sneak peeks so far?? The new sets are available on the site now - click over to Power Poppy to see more!

For several months I've had the thrill of peeking behind the scenes at Power Poppy's beginnings, and I'm so excited about their first big release. I love Marcella's vision of Power Poppy being more than just a place to buy pretty art stamps, too.  I'm also excited about showcasing Power Poppy monthly! The 3rd Monday of each month, keep an eye out for a fun tutorial or project idea right here.

My mom has always had beautiful azalea bushes, so this set really grabbed my heart with memories of home when I first saw it. I love the large focal image, and it really filled my CAS layout. I wanted the look of a freshly cut branch, so I colored the image to look like a branch sitting on a flat surface, waiting to be tucked into a vase. The image is colored with Polychromos Pencils, just blending with the pencils themselves.

Here is a peek at all the brand new sets, which are available at Power Poppy NOW! Mine are waiting in CA for me, and I can't wait to feel settled enough to sit down and play.

  5. Dina, your coloring is beyond beautiful, but what I think I love the most is the way you've grounded the image to suggest the blooms are resting on a surface. So gorgeous!
