Sad News

You would normally be coming here on the first Monday of the month for Flourishes' Beautiful World Tour, but sadly, due to some changes at Flourishes, the January hop was our last hop together.

I know. From Millan.Net

I had already started working on my card when we received the news as a team, so I decided to share it here today, to share this sweet sentiment with my teammates. This truly has been the sweetest and most talented group of ladies that I have worked with, and the time we have shared together has been such a blessing to me. The dynamic of having an international team is so interesting, and we enjoyed discussing differences in our respective homes.

Here is a list of their blogs - I hope you will continue to visit them and enjoy their creativity.

Some details about my card - the Gerber Daisies image was stamped in Memento ink on textured Bazzill cardstock, and painted lightly with diluted white India ink.

The sentiment is stamped on an Inchie Plus Art Square from Inchie Arts, and the twine came from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. This color combination happened while I was cleaning my desk. Love that! Notice that my button is threaded with a tiny strip of paper - that's one of my time-saving tricks.

Flourishes is having one of their Gambler's sales and the discount moves to 30% off this week - do you wait for a deeper discount? or grab the bargains while they last? Be sure to check it out if there are stamps you want to be sure to have in your stash... when they're gone, they're gone!
Thanks for stopping by!

  9. Oh no! Dina, I'm sad as well. Although I don't leave comments I always pop in to look and admire the work of all. Flourishes has been one of my all time favorite stamp companies. Their illustrations are beautiful - just a top notch company all around. I'm sorry to see the hop discontinued. But it won't keep me from enjoying the creativity of you and the rest of the team, that's for sure. This is a lovely card. I like the daisies stamped in green, and the India ink wash is perfect! I also like using the Inchie for the sentiment. Wonderful creativity.
